About Us

I'm not here for ME, I'm here for WE, and We're here for THEM

The dedication and open house of the new Ohio Township Volunteer Fire Department was on November 27, 1982, on Old Plank Road, Newburgh. Our department is located in the southwestern part of Warrick County (Newburgh).  Our department serves the 43 square-miles of Ohio Township. We serve a population of nearly 44,000 residents.  The fire department consists of a full-time staff of 17 and 35 volunteers who all faithfully and passionately serve the people of Ohio Township.  We currently operate out of two fire stations strategically located to provide the fastest responses possible.
