We Are Here To Help

Our department is located in the southwestern part of Warrick County (Newburgh).  Our department serves the 43 square-miles of Ohio Township. We serve a population of nearly 44,000 residents. Ohio Township is one of the top three areas in the state of Indiana for fastest growing areas.  The fire department consists of a full-time staff of 17 and 35 volunteers who all faithfully and passionately serve the people of Ohio Township.  We currently operate out of two fire stations strategically located to provide the fastest responses possible.

Our Mission

The mission of the Ohio Township Fire Department is to provide community safety and education, protect life, prevent loss and provide support and relief to those in need with the guiding mission statement of “I am not here for me, I am here for we, and we are here for them.” THEM is what its all about.  These men and women give their all each and every day!  The fire department provides many response capabilities including fire suppression, automobile extrication, technical rescue (water, trench, confined space), hazardous material incident mitigation and pre-hospital emergency medical care.
